About Waldorf & Wood Toys

At Waldorf & Wood Toys, we believe that toys are more than "objects" that are merely for entertainment. We believe that children ought to have fewer toys and less stimulation to leave room for their minds and imaginations to flourish and run wild with the wind. As such, we also believe that the toys that they do have should be simple, natural, built to last, and special to the child. At Waldorf & Wood Toys, we are striving to create just that!

We sell original hand-crafted Waldorf & Wood toys, locally made in the Fraser Valley of Mission, BC, as well as specially selected, high quality toys from around the world.

Please send us an email if you have any questions or comments :)

About founder Jenna Provost

I grew up along the west coast of British Columbia, Canada - where I still live today! I have always had a love for dolls - anything to do with dolls. That love eventually introduced me to the art of stop-motion animation in film-making, which I studied for a while. My desire for a wild, natural life-style, and my deep connection with femininity and the concept of mother-hood eventually introduced me to the Waldorf philosophy, while working as a nanny for two very young children. Needless to say, something clicked! I combined my love for miniatures, dolls, fairy tales, and working with my hands, with my desire to provide this generation of children with toys that don't harm our planet, toys that will last a life time, which will be held dear to hearts, and that inspire imagination and a love for nature!

I am currently awaiting the birth of my first child coming January 2025, and I know my life-long dream of motherhood is coming to fruition. I am planning for a natural home-birth, but we shall see! Another interest of mine is the possibility of studying to become a holistic doula.

Some other things I enjoy are playing music (I play a foot-pump harmonium!), gardening, baking, reading, traveling, playing board games, and spending time with family.
